Visitors

We’ve had a busy week with a lot of people coming out to our little town of Abi Adi.

First, Maeve and Suvarna, VSO volunteers, dropped in for a few hours. We were delighted to see them and we treated them to a slice of Gareth’s cake! We showed them around Abi Adi and the College.

Ayele, our manager from VSO came on Sunday, with Dereje the driver. We had a meeting to discuss how we had settled into life at the College and how we were going to take our work forward.

We then had a visit from more volunteers, David and Maureen, who work at the Ministry of Education in Addis Ababa. Along with their Ethiopian colleague, Yasabu, they were visiting us to support the work of the Higher Diploma Programme, which is a one year course for Teacher Trainers who work in tertiary education. A lot of the staff in Abi Adi College have already taken this course, with seven currently doing it in this academic year.
